Brownstown Central school board: Brownstown school board approves $5.94-per-gallon diesel bid and $1.43 million in claims

The Brownstown Central Community School Corporation board unanimously approved a one-year bus-fuel and supply contract with Premier Companies for July 1, 2026, through June 30, 2027. Prices are $4.2178 per gallon for unleaded fuel, $5.9367 for diesel and $3.737 for DEF fluid. The board also approved $1,425,830.80 in claims, payroll and lunch-fund payments. Personnel actions included retirements, resignations, leaves, transfers and new hires or coaching appointments, while a cell-phone policy and transfer-sick-day policy received first readings but were not approved. Graduation is scheduled for May 23 at 10 a.m.
