Seymour City Council: The Seymour City Council voted 5-1 to reject Ordinance No. 12 (Council Bill No. 30), defeating a request to rezone property at East U.S. Highway 50 for developer Becknell following extensive public opposition regarding traffic, noise, property values, and infrastructure strains. Following the defeat, Becknell representative Blair Carmisino withdrew a related annexation resolution and ordinance from consideration under new business.
