Seymour Board of Public Works and Safety: At the July 9, 2026 meeting, the Seymour Board of Public Works approved an on-call Master Service Agreement with JQOL for engineering coverage, food truck renewals for Don Chuy Taqueria, a driveway cut on Murry Hill Drive, sewer bill adjustments for seven applicants, and a taxi license for Garcia Taxi LLC pending proof of insurance. City officials also shared updates on various paving and utility relocation projects, along with announcing a July 17 ribbon-cutting event for the new Transfer Station.
• Seymour Board of Public Works and Safety approved a Master Service Agreement with JQOL to provide on-call engineering services when the City Engineer is unavailable or has a conflict of interest.
• Seymour Board of Public Works and Safety approved food truck license renewals for Don Chuy Taqueria #1, #2, and #3.
• Seymour Board of Public Works and Safety approved a driveway refurbish and cut request for Jack Fish at 1724 Murry Hill Drive.
• Seymour Board of Public Works and Safety approved sewer bill adjustment requests for seven properties (748 Jackson Park Dr., 703 N. Park St., 836 Wendemere Dr., 1959 Mockingbird Lane, 722 N. Chestnut St., 210 Sycamore St., and 344 S. Broadway St.).
• Seymour Board of Public Works and Safety approved a Taxi License for Garcia Taxi LLC, pending submission of proof of insurance.
• Seymour Board of Public Works and Safety: An electronic vote was entered into the record extending the permit for a dumpster on Chestnut Street beside the Bollinger building through the end of July.
• Seymour Board of Public Works and Safety: Officials announced a ribbon-cutting and open house for the new Transfer Station scheduled for July 17, from 1-3 p.m.
