Seymour Board of Public Works and Safety: Seymour’s Board of Public Works approved the purchase of two 2¾-ton, four-wheel-drive crew-cab trucks for the Water Pollution Control Department at just over $63,000 each, or more than $126,000 combined. The purchase is included in the city’s 2026 capital plan, and the two existing trucks will be repurposed or sold. The board also approved a 60-month lease for two City Hall copy machines at just under $500 per month, below the current $520 monthly service cost. Several events, licenses and parking requests were approved, while a church fundraiser food-truck request was tabled pending a decision on street closure or use of a parking lot. Project updates included continued work on Second Street, South O’Brien Street right-of-way acquisition and the transfer station.
