Seymour Board of Public Works and Safety: Seymour approves $20,000 water-pollution consulting contract and 2026 infrastructure plans

Seymour Board of Public Works and Safety: Seymour’s Board of Public Works approved a roughly $20,000 hourly on-call contract with Strand Associates to analyze leachate accepted by the city’s water pollution control department. The board also reported that only $81,273.37 remains in SRF funds and will revisit the spending plan at its next meeting. Infrastructure work is scheduled to advance this year, including curbs at the Eastside Industrial Park’s Vital Farms area in March, asphalt in April, and letting for all three phases of the O’Brien Street project. A right-of-way decision tied to a property dispute was tabled for further review. The board approved multiple event permits, a food-truck license pending inspection, a taxi-cab license, a sewer-bill adjustment, and traffic or equipment support for downtown events.
