Seymour school board appoints Charles Calhoun to interim seat in 6-0 vote

The Seymour Community Schools board unanimously appointed Dr. Charles Calhoun to serve as the interim member representing the Seymour City school board seat. Calhoun was the only applicant, and the appointment passed 6-0 at a special meeting on Feb. 19, 2026. He said he looks forward to contributing to the district. No spending, contracts, tax or fee changes, project decisions, or public-safety actions were recorded. The meeting ended at 6:04 p.m.
